Lisa Howard is a licensed California landscape architect, certified playground safety inspector and founding Principal of Bay Tree Design. She has been providing expertise in planning and design of public, institutional and residential landscapes for almost twenty years and has a master’s degree in landscape architecture. Lisa is an expert facilitator, and has helped numerous groups come to consensus on difficult open space and school grounds issues. She is currently serving on the Leadership Council for the International School Grounds Alliance sustaining an interest in remaking children’s outdoor areas that are alive with variety and challenge. Ms. Howard’s work reflects her range of interests with consistent focus on landscapes that are rooted in ecological systems and cultural history, children’s spaces, visible green architecture, and community-based design.
