Bothin Welcome Center

Nested in the heart of Marin County’s California native woodlands, the Bothin Welcome Center is located on a historical site managed by Girl Scouts of Northern California and has hosted summer camps each year since 1948. BAY TREE DESIGN collaborated with Siegel & Strain in the creation of this center developing an elegant landscape composition that blends with the surrounding landscape while honoring Camp Bothin’s rich past.

Graceful curves converge around a central planting area in an effort to preserve, highlight and celebrate the existing heritage bay tree. This intentional simplicity is then completed by the exclusive use of California natives in its plant palette.

Contingent upon private foundation grants and individual donations, this project is currently undergoing fund-raising.
