Butler University Lab School
The Butler Lab School is a public school that subscribes to the Reggio-Emilia pedagogy. The school environment is considered the “third teacher” in addition to the instructors and other students. This school’s site is currently blank slate with a conventional building resting amongst acres of mowed field. The school approached site development with an eagerness to layer on rich play elements and curriculum opportunities per Reggio-Emilia in a layout that reconnects the yards with the site context.
